Today Jerome asked the Rt Hon Michael Ellis MP, Solicitor-General, about the backlog in court cases and how the government was tackling this. Mr Ellis gave details of the 'Nightingale courts' which have opened around the country, as well as the recruitment of 1,600 additional staff and increasing use of virtual hearings.
