Today Jerome asked the Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, about the cutting of the Foreign Aid budget from 0.7% to 0.5% of GDP.
Mr Raab confirmed that the intention is for this reduction to be temporary, until such time as the UK's finances are recovered from the demands placed upon them by the Covid-19 situation.
