This afternoon, I went to meet George Eustice MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to argue the case for tightening restrictions on the discharge of sewage into our rivers. Rightly, the Government has since agreed to amend the Environment Bill tonight in order to advance our work to reduce these damaging discharges and keep rivers across the country clean.
