Kemi Badenoch MP has appointed me Shadow Minister of State for Transport. I am delighted since it will give me a platform to make sure that the Government keeps up our investment in improved roads, that political ideology doesn’t get in the way of good train services and to argue for a reversal of Labour’s plans to increase bus fares by 50% next year.
