The rural community is outraged by Labour’s Budget, and thousands came up to London today to show their anger.
I met farmers from Broadland and Fakenham who told me that Labour’s Family Farm Tax will be devastating to their businesses. They feel patronised by London-based Labour politicians telling them that most farms will not be affected, when they know that they will.
It feels like Labour cannot be bothered to educate themselves about modern farming, preferring to believe a fairytale version of what farming is like.
This is a bad, bad, decision that needs to be overturned.
