I was in Aylsham today, where wider pavements and sanitiser points are in place so we can all be confident in supporting our local businesses.
The news that many non-essential shops and businesses are re-opening from today is very welcome. Whilst our first priority must continue to be the health of the nation, coronavirus has had a severe effect on the economy. Our local councils and businesses have worked hard to ensure they can trade safely as part of Broadland District Council's "Shop with Confidence" initiative.
Please do support our local businesses as much as you can. From 4th July, all being well, we will be in a position similarly to restart our tourism and hospitality, another welcome development. The message though is clear: from today, Broadland is once again open for business.
