I was invited to Seaglaze Marine by Alastair Clayton whose family have owned Seaglaze Marine since 1995.
Seaglaze Marine produces bespoke doors, hatches and windows for the boating industry and has seen a 40% increase in turnover in the past two years. Norfolk produces over 90% on non-oil and gas marine apertures and to ensure Seaglaze can react quickly to customers demands for often time-critical work, a sister company, Specialist Toughened Glass (STG) was founded to produce the toughened and laminated glass required by the industry. Specialist Toughened Glass provides a wide range of services for commercial and marine glass purposes to produce unique, strong and secure glazing that is toughened and laminated on site including the printing of customer requested images on to the glass using a state of the art digital printer. Seaglaze Marine and STG have invested in new technologies including a robot welder to continue to innovate and enhance their product lines.
