On Friday 26th June Jerome visited the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum at Neatishead. RAF Neatishead was first established by the Air Ministry in 1941 and saw active service throughout the Second World War and the Cold War. Today it is used to provide radar coverage as part of the UK Air Surveillance and Control System in support of our national and NATO air defence commitments.
Commenting Jerome said: “Visiting the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I was very impressed with the dedication and passion the managers Patrick and Lynn who turned technical equipment into a fascinating story. There is some amazing kit there and, once the museum is reopened to the public and as the current rules are gradually relaxed, I would certainly recommend a visit.”
