I met with Neill Moloney, CEO of East of England Ambulance Service, to discuss the challenges the Service is currently facing with unprecedented demand for their services.
We discussed response times for the most serious calls, handover times at our local hospitals and the impacts that the handover times have on patients waiting for an ambulance out in our communities. As well as the plans to improve productivity over the coming months and years, including managing fleet turnaround times more efficiently so that more ambulances are ready to respond and not waiting for maintenance to be completed.
