It was good to be out and about in the constituency today, visiting Aylsham High School and Acle Pharmacy, and taking part in a virtual meeting about Sculthorpe.
This morning I visited Aylsham High School to learn about their exciting plans to build a Sports Hub to go with their refurbished pool and brand-new 3G sports pitch: indoor and outdoor gyms, exercise classrooms, and cafe. Most of the funds have been raised, with a just a final push still needed. There are also plans to build a new Science Block. This is a school with ambition and drive.
Next I visited Acle Pharmacy which is playing - along with others - a vital role in assisting GPs with primary care. They are very busy rolling out the flu jab, with more doses this year than ever before.
I took part in a virtual meeting with residents from Sculthorpe, representatives from the RAF and USAF, and James Wild MP, to discuss noisy aircraft movements late at night. I hope this liaison will help to make sure residents' voices are heard as our armed forces train to defend us all.
It was also good this week to visit Whitwell & Reepham Station, one of the recipients of a grant from the government's Culture Recovery Fund.
