Royal Mail has today opened applications for a new Postal Apprenticeship, designed to recruit the next generation of postal workers.
The new scheme will recruit up to 1,000 Level 2 apprentices, with many of them based at delivery offices in Norfolk.
Many senior Royal Mail directors began their careers through the then 'Postal Cadet' scheme which ceased to operate in 1996. This new apprenticeship scheme will be one of the largest such programmes in the UK, with all applicants successfully completing the scheme being offered permanent positions.
Applications open today and you can find out more here.
