I frequently visit the two job centres that serve residents in Broadland to keep up to date on their plans and share casework of any issues that local residents have raised with me.
I was pleased to see what the DWP is doing, particularly for young people, in order to reduce unemployment and help people to find work aligned with their skills.
This new centre, opened last year in Castle Mall, is designed specifically to provide targeted support to young claimants in order to ensure they hit the ground running with the skills they need to pursue their passions - everything from apprenticeships, to school leaver roles and graduate career advice.
Thank you to the DWP for taking the time to listen to my concerns about rural inequality and for giving me the reassurances that young people in rural communities like mine will not be left behind.
